My rotation in the Department of Pediatrics started 3 days ago. I was assigned first at the Neonatal ICU for one week. So far, so good. Cute babies everywhere.
Learning is scarce, but due to ample free time I managed to study a few things about TTN (transient tachypnea of the newborn), congenital hydrocephalus, neonatal trauma, and hyperbilirubinemia. I might sound nerdy, but I am actually excited to read Nelson’s Textbook of Pediatrics. It’s been in the bookshelf for too long now.
